You wrote"I agree that Jesus spoke in parables but those were hardly in the same league as the secrets that so-called adepts keep! There is no proof that Jesus upheld the secret Serpent faith that so-called adepts guard."
Let's start with the "secrets" of the parables that Jesus reserved for those closest to him; those he could teach personally as referred to in David's posts. Who do you believe holds those truths now? And passes them on in the way Jesus taught them to?
If Jesus taught you personally and asked you to continue with his teachings in the same manner, would you be true to his instructions
"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Matthew 7:6
or would you cast his pearls before swine -something he chose not to do?
"My mind is not immovable, as you suggest, it's that I don't trust the secret knowledge that you derive from these adepts, for the reasons I've given in countless posts."
Would you have trusted Jesus? They certainly are reported to have questioned the wisdom he was teaching and it is only natural for a seeker of truth to question the teacher. They had to trust their teacher and ultimately believe and trust in his higher knowledge. I hope you would have done the same had Jesus been your teacher and hope that you continue to question the writings of the fallible humans who wrote the words of the Bible. "Inspiration" albeit from God, can not hold a pen and can only influence the mind of the writer.
