Yes, I was a bit puzzled by that. It could make some sort of sense if one is to believe the stories where they are described as the still active fraternity of evil powermongers toying around with the rest of us. A group like that would obviously be very interested in any kind of revolutionary tools for mind-control. But reading the book you will quickly come to realize that this is way out of their league. Can't see much MK-Ultra value here. :-)
Anyway, it doesn't diminish the value of Dr. Strassman's work one bit. The book is highly recommended to anyone with the slightest interest in the topics of consciousness, psychedelics, spirituality or just plain psychology.
