I think it'd be better to examine or take into account modern science and psychology post-Jung.
For example, psychotherapists post-Jung have had to modify Jungian theories with quantum physics. What's emerged from that synthesis is the "without" source or something more intangible than the biologically based limitations of say a neuropsychologist like Pinker. Do you know what I mean?
