Ray: There is nothing "evolutionary" about experimentation. Mathematical rules and protocols stay the same. We still use the Cartesian coordinates of Descartes, the Calculus of Liebnitz, and the standard normal distribution of Gauss.
In physical science and in the scientific study of biological systems, we shifted to the micro levels of analysis and supplanted theories built on the macroscopic. When paradigms shift, the problems explored change, but the methodology for studying them doesn't.
