Like Drew just said: I don't have to create it, it's already there; just have to find my way in there.
A "sacred space" for me would be a space where I feel deeply connected inside. That means for me that a sacred space is a state of awareness. I mostly find myself there when I'm painting. By experience I found out that I don't have to wait for "inspiration" to get there. Inspiration can be provoked by just starting to do the job. And the grass grows by itself!
