Hi everyone, I have developed a new term or concept. It is called a logicism. That is a statement which sounds like it is talking about the world of experience but isn’t necessarily doing so. For example, “The black cat is warming itself on the radiator.” Now, there might be a black cat sitting on the radiator, but I could have simply made it up to illustrate the powers of language. Actually, I do not have a black cat and there are no radiators in my house.

Consider, the you tube Malc has posted. Professor Dawkins is asked to support extended logicisms by the moderator Greene. Dawkins makes the mistake, IMO, of agreeing with logicisms without a show of evidence, no wonder he appeared queasy!

Please, don’t fall into this trap! Imagination is a great thing but, it can drive people crazy if they are not careful.
