I don't think that I have time to go through all of what you have linked right now. I'm getting ready for bed here. I wasn't getting any notifications. So, I think I've missed out on a great deal of responses. I think that I've corrected it. We will see.
But from what I've read, I think that I have an answer, though it might not be what some are willing to accept. It most definitely can not be explained, only experienced. The only way that I have found to find the Lord is to humble yourself and admit your sins to him. That's not talking about a sudden voice that gives you instructions or advice. That's talking about a presence that you cannot see or explain to most people. It's something that can enter a place from the upper corner of the room and float down and put it's arms around you and console you. But it's definitely something that is real and definitely something that can say things to you that no one, not even yourself, can refute. It's nothing that we can make happen through ourselves. It only comes through his will. No matter what we want or think should be done to anyone, no matter how good we think the person is, if he doesn't will it, it isn't going to happen. There is a power that comes from above that will flow through you and out from you to the other person. It's close to having electricity running through you.
So, in essence, it's not something that can be scientifically explained, because like you said, it happens in the moment. But it's not like these things have been indoctrinated in me, it's from experience.
There was something else talking about children, I believe... When I was younger, I thought that I could force my children into understanding what I believe. As I've gotten older, I've found out that you can't force anyone what to believe. This is the lesson from Jesus. He doesn't want to force us to follow him. He wants us to do it because we want to, because we realize that he loved us and died for us, and the father can not behold the sin in our nature. It's the same with our children, if we force them, they reject. If we guide, they may embrace. There's something about us as humans that doesn't want to be told what to do. I think that is why resist the Bible, because we think that it's telling us what to do. But, in fact, it's only trying to direct us, and protect us out of love... Just my thoughts
