Hmmm, not sure, but my first reactions are to say: (a) I think the word transcendant has too many ratherfanciful meanings implied in and inferred from it to make it a useful word in this context, and(b) it is one's attitude towards life and its endwhich sees them as cold and somewhat bleak or a delight at being and will have been a part of it all!

Interesting - I'll have to think about it and I'll come back later on.
