I do not know what a 'statement of method' means. Please explain.Quote
This statement means that statements of method
I don't know about superior - as far as I know there are no other methods available for providing objective facts.Quote
are somehow different from scientific statements or hypotheses. That is, statements about scientific methods are not science, they are philosophical statements, actually statements of value. Susan, to me, your OP is an argument for the scientific method as being superior to other methods in producing objective facts.
The OP was to find out if there are methods - set procedures - for finding out facts about Art, Philosophy and FReligion.
I am responding to the words in other's' posts and this may well include some philosophising, but not in the OP.Quote
I am suggesting that the argument is a argument over values not science per se. You are philosophizing here.
