I did not make the OP too specific, however!, so, on the subject of tap dancing!!!

This is not quite what I meant in the OP. I was more after views on whether there is such a thing asa method for working in, considering the merits of, accepting or rejecting a piece of art because ... well, what? Ditto with Philosophy and Religion.Quote
this is to think about the methods dance instructors use in teaching tap dance.
I did not make the OP too specific, however!, so, on the subject of tap dancing!!!
We have all been dancing for many years, so we all know the names of the steps and the way they are constructed - a beginner could not possibly join in. It is like all motor skills, they must be practised until internalised.Quote
For example, Susan you are leading your tap dance class. Do your fellow dancers know how it is done when they start?
Obviously - yes!!Quote
If tap dancing is learned then there must be some method teachers use. Is there mathematics involved, for example, in counting steps and taps?
I think not. Tapdancing is not objective; it does not have an existence away from people and feet. There are various methods of teaching it, but no objective method. It is an Art form. Is there an objective method for any Art form, or Philosophy, or Religion?Quote
You provided us a video of you tap dancing. Does that video represent the objective ‘fact’ of what tap dancing is? The result of method, practice and talent?
