Photography and optics got me into science. From my roof, I took time lapse pictures of a starry night and recorded a swirling pattern. With some effort, I hooked up my camera to a microscope and captured images of paramiceum caudatum. The more I studied human vision, the more mysterious it became to me, so I understand your sense of wonder at the camera.
Scientists have demonstrated through experiment that entanglement is real, but weird. Mostly, they wish they hadn't discovered it. Pointing any optical instrument toward any facet o feature in the room gives us an equally unexplainable image--at least to me.
