For several reasons:Quote
Why do you think you are correct in "pointing out errors"? Errors depending on your own happy belief? Is this really any of your business?
This is a publicly accessible message board, so it is as much my business as anyone else's.
There may not be many who browse and read but for those who do, I think it is important that if a statement is made that something is true, it should be able to be backed up by appropriate and objective evidence. If there are those who think they know better, then they can join and present their evidence for discussion and challenge.
If there are people reading who are being told that something is true which is not, then it might help to see others showing why on a forum like this.
The errors I point out are not based on my personal belief, or conjured up out of thin air; I do not believe, or believe in, anything which is not objectively backed up.
Children are not allowed, or supposed to be allowed, to read forums like this, but if they do, I think the more of future generations who can distinguish between fact and fiction, and thus are able to really realise the amazing evolved reality and huge potential of our human brains, then the better that will be. If they choose, with that knowledge, to believe that there are testable, verifiable facts about anything supernatural, then they have the right to do so. I think they are chasing an always-elusive shadow.
