It is so much more sensible, fascinating, rewarding, exciting, and of course credible, to face the facts of life and death and not waste any precious moment of this one life in thinking an alternative is real. Employ all the ideas, humanly created from our amazing evolved brains, to think up an infinite number of fictional scenarios, but don't try to kid yourself or anyone else they have any basis at all in reality.
Wow, this is not very optimistic Susan! Just can’t help us. What each of us thinks is based on our life experiences. An old coach told me, “Practice does not make perfect. Perfect practice makes for perfect performance.”
I suggest that “sensible, fascinating, rewarding and creditable” living is based on positive, perfect sensible, fascinating, rewarding and creditable thinking. I don’t think there is a way around that.
I think that Socrates said somewhere that “ if a person knows the good, they will try to attain it.” Good images make for good actions.
