Susan where you a politician?, because you can certainly answer questions like one,
as in, there are a lot of words that make it seem like you answered,
but, I can't help feeling like there was no real direct or general answer,
you should run for office! ;)
so, do you agree,
"there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference" ??
I ask because redwoods statement seems to be the logical conclusion of the chance idea of existence,
I then ask, if so, why does anyone bother,
which can be taken directly or generally, because its just a discussion,
choosing between "good or evil", or natural, if you prefer,
you say that behaviours are naturally selected for survival of the species,
as in, retain what's good, but do we discard what's bad?, like serial killers?
you also add that, choosing between a "good, evil, natural" act is already decided for us, unknowingly by ourselves, a split second before the act,
Is this a proven fact?, all decided already?
If we believe its ultimately pointless, that someday our world will be devoured by the hungry sun,
how does that affect our moral outlook?,
(I think i see carousels)
I guess we can continue this on rays new thread, as its a more focused and direct question,
or here, or both!, or not at all!, your free to choose,
or are you?,
or have you already! ;)
I'm going to finish this post with a joke that's been stuck in my head,
mainly because, well, i think its funny,
(Woody Allen apparently)
Two old ladies are eating in a restaurant,
"the food in here is terrible",
And the other says,
"I know, and such small portions too"
