Okay, I think visually. Here is an artist's rendition of the exchange points of two neurons:
[en.wikipedia.org]

I have been trying to indicate a condition of empty space BETWEEN the two neurons, and, philosophically adding the PURPOSE OF THAT EMPTY SPACE. In the construction of the neurons there is a condition where
ONLY CHEMICALS INTERACT IN THE SPACE BETWEEN THE TWO NEURONS. That space is VIRTUALLY REALITY, NOT CONDENSED INTO SUBSTANTIAL MATTER. Thus, the philosophical implication is that ANY TRANSFER OF CHEMICALS ARE APPARENT IN THIS BIOLOGICAL SYSTEM.
This yields an enormous amount of RANDOM INTERCHANGES that are possibly considered as a VIRTUAL REALITY SYSYEM, not simply an exchange of chemicals, but an exchange of specific chemicals that induce alternate consciousness due to the variable entries that come along to people that ARE CAPABLE OF SUCH VARIATIONS OF THOUGHT AND SENSATIONS.

I think progressively. Alternate realities occur to specific folks, either naturally by schizophrenic tendencies, or by induced variabilites of drugs.
It actually happens in that category of folks.
By the way, all of that technical jargon does nothing for me. Again, I think visually. Words only have value to me as a description of the actual design of a thing, its picture in my mind.

You should dissolve all discrimination of individuality and absorb all things into a harmonious oneness.
The virtue of a highly evolved being embraces all people and things and dispels the darkness which isolates them.

Hua Hu Ching-primary lesson.
