So far, all the evidence of all the scientific disciplines leads to the conclusion that, no, there is not. All, bar none, of the conjectures are imagined,** and, however fascinating the discussion that those who believe - with a 100% faith belief - that there are, need to come up with the one objective fact that will change this situation. Such a fact would then become part of our knowledge base.Quote
This really could get into metaphysics. Are there 'beings of higher rank' than humans?
**I assume the usual caveat of the vanishingly remotely possible chance that one god/spirit/etc might appear ne day.
Here again, karma is a word, a humanly nvented word, to describe an imagined connection between unconnected events etc.Quote
Something that does come up on this board from time to time. :) Personally, I wasn't thinking of some other 'authority', I was thinking of laws of cause and effect more like karma. Which humans could not alter any more than the laws of physics.
Cause and effect, when evidenced using the scientificmethod, is as reliable as itcould be!
If the metaphysics discussion is a good idea, may I ask you to start a new topic? Thank you.
