Quote Laughlin: “Right now, everyone’s probably wrong.”
All the confusion is only because of one thing, they assume the nebular theory is correct. It is not correct and it fails every time and fails worse with every new discovery.
In this article they try to prop it up... all they do is look like a bunch of amateurs.. their ideas are pathetic (to say it nicely).
What understanding could replace this nebular theory?
Standard astronomers will have to let go off the idea that planets form from a disk of material, clumping together, nature does not build planets this way, that is why the model fails.
Why are they not researching/proposing actual alternatives?
- stars and planets are not mutually exclusive, stars are born hot and large and they cool and shrink over time, thus they become the planets. Stars capture other stars/planets, explaining the menagerie of different systems and orbits. Occam's razor.
This alternative is called Stellar Metamorphosis.
It is my preferred alternative.
