To drill fast is space with low gravity we need a core drill with a stationary shaft that locks the unit down to this small pilot hole. The core drill will spin on this securing shaft once the required depth is drilled the core drill and shaft are extracted, then the core is broke loose with the shaft partially extracted and core drill in place, then the central shaft again expands locking onto the core sample to extract.
Milling the material at this stage in the process makes it possible to lock your central shaft then a spinning mill wheel spins on the shaft allowing you to refine the size and texture in the mining stage cutting out later processing steps.
