In the General theory of stellar metamorphosis this system is looking for a new home, a new bright young star to be captured by.

The main star red star is or will be soon a flare star and in time it will become a brown dwarf. The companion brown dwarf will become a gas giant. If they find a new home (white or yellow star) at least one or both are prime candidates to host life one day.
