Oh, I'm Irish, and a good bit Scott as well, but I dislike confrontation, even debating rubs me the wrong way. I'm more designed for gardening and scholasticism, but carry a big stick, yep, good idea.

Pacifists are usually the first under the thumb, the foot or the boot heel. More's the pity.

The bigger problem is, how do we defuse the mentality which attaches itself to the rich & powerful and whispers terrible rhetoric into their inner ear? Which leads to "me special" and you "worthless" type of thinking ==> poor judgements, bad behaviors & war . . .

How do we design a pattern of child raising and growing up that allows for all adults to posess a basic common sense which lets them see the picture as a "whole" ... i.e. "concern for the whole species and its habitat" ... as the first consideration?

It certainly is not the profit driven materialism of today. And while many can entrust their young to early life daycare (I couldn't, but I'm hyper protective) . . We do not design learning systems for these places, nor for the basic school curriculum. We do not even have toys for this, except Baby Einstein offerings.

Would this work? Could this work? Should we be trying?

The profit system is choking the life & goodness out of humanity, but it is more democratic than dictatorships or kingships.

How do we re-infuse common sense into a set of cultures world wide which have been listening to the "media prophet" as it lead them down some promised path of wisdom? . . . ("the piper will lead us to reason") . . . For a profit . . .
