Perhaps. . . Some folks even suggest that fake news is a diffuser toward reducing a panicked state. . . Unless one has the means to conduct a meaningful investigation, acquire proven data, and somehow, are represented by a majority class such as academia, one is probably going to be ignored or scoffed at. I wonder about the means of the photo used by the following news source. . . For instance, is it depicting a responsible level of accuracy? And what about its suggested colour coding to suggest intensity and placement?

There is a lighter side in that some folks from the northeastern seaboard, affected by multiple weather hits by 'nor'easters' can manage the importance of those on the western seaboard having to deal with tainted waters and marine life. The plastic-patches are probably still floating in the Pacific, too, accumulating as before. . .
