This past Wednesday, December 30 2015, the temperature for a brief time in the North Polar region rose to +32 degrees F. It was caused by several cyclones in the Atlantic region of Iceland and Greenland. Adding to the cause was the extreme low pressure ridge that went through Texas and the eastern upper United States. This was 50 degrees above the normal temperature of -20 degrees F. The temperatures have since returned to their normal ranges.
