Getting at AWACS would be like trying to hit a CV. Not going to happen. They're so far out of range and have redundant layers of escort. You're right though that they would be a primary target, although I'm sure with some of the avionic systems in place now they're not as needed as they were 20 years ago. D-Links are getting pretty nuts.

Have you seen numbers with radar cross section figures? Curious about your claim that these aren't stealthy.
