Because America has been brainwashed into submission. Heck, the most common fallacy being thrown about is the phrase 'the liberal media'. There's no such thing, really. If there really was a liberal media, we'd be hearing about Bush's suspicious past left right and center, just like we did with Clinton. Either the media has always been sympathetic to the right wing, Republican agenda, or Bush's dad has got lawyers working overtime threatening media outlets with lawsuits if they dig up the dirt.

Is the CBC news broadcast in the US? I'm wondering if Americans would change their views about the government and the foreign policy if they had access to more balanced news coverage?
