The problem with capitalism is politicians use its riches to buy votes. As time goes by they they have come to control every aspect of it so now we have "central planning" rather than the flow of capital.

This was brought about by the banks who have always known they can enslave the people through debt. Now they have enslaved the country by government debt. Government and finance are turning profit into landfill because this is how the wealthy extract money from the economy. Every time you buy a new refrigerator or washing machine they make handfuls of money so nothing lasts. New ones are made and old ones are scrapped making lots of money and generating more and more CO2 which they combat with new inefficiencies which generate more profit and more CO2. Everyone wins except everyone but the rich. Even refrigerator salesmen are being outsourced or soon will be.

This isn't capitalism. One could almost define the word as positive real interest rates but we've had negative rates for a decade now. Bankers gamble in the markets with depositor money and keep the winnings and the interest. When they are caught it's not always just a slap on the wrist. They are asked to please stop.

Man fears the pyramid, time fears man.
