Ray, Solar cells are set in steel frames. Although, I think that windmill blades are composite, there is lots of metals in windmills. Building a renewable energy infrastructure would require all kinds of materials as well as lots of cash.

It is a great song Ray, but songs will never compensate for the incompetence of socialism in doing business, i.e., making money. It takes money to build stuff.
