When you delve into this topic you end up researching subjects that at first would seem completely unrelated. My reading has introduced me to the spycraft of the Elizabethan age, the Tudor prince theories, the DM code, Poussin and Et in Arcadia Ego, masonic lore and history, sacred geometry, pythagorean brotherhood, Rosicrucianism, the death of Christopher Marlowe, the Cathars, Cistercians, Templars, the Oak Island treasure hunt, early christianity, biblical tradition, Kabbalah, ley lines, isolationist/diffusionist debate, John Dee, pirate/templar connection, cryptology, steganography, iconology, mythology, astrology and astronomy. To name just a few off the top of my head.
Not only does this topic incorporate all this subjects, some theories create a compelling narrative that relates, explains and can answer some of these mysteries.
