Tom, I have always found it ironic that proponents of dialectical materialism have adopted what was basically a religious form of civil life. Now you will note, in the quote above, it is stated that the believers were "of one heart and soul" certainly something not pertaining to ordinary human societies!

So I think that you are correct that "the communistic 'bug' us humans have might come from a time lost long ago."!
