Hi Roger, I would like to state that, IMO, no one knows when the first drafts of the New Testament were written. Why, well, they are no longer existing. Therefore, I would suggest that we must apply reason to these issues and not expect any absolute proofs. We are kind of stuck with 'beliefs,' 'theories' rather that 'facts,' again IMO.

Here are some sensible views on the topic of when the texts originated:

Please note this statement from the first article: "For about sixty years now a tiny papyrus fragment of the Gospel of John has been the oldest "manuscript" of the New Testament. This manuscript (P52) has generally been dated to ca. A.D. 125. "
