Yes, we should have good reasons for what we believe. I am trying to come at this from an academic angle, which is why I think it's important to have legitimate sources. Just because something is quoted from a non-existent or fraudulent source doesn't mean the information itself is necessarily wrong, but studies have actually shown that most citations in scientific papers are to other papers that the authors haven't even read for themselves, and just lifted straight off another paper. I think that is the case with this Nexus article. People have copied the text of the article and never checked out the sources. But whoever came up with those "quotes" in the first place was either very confused or being very dishonest with others.
