Aad/'Ad was in the south of the Arabian Peninsula -- thus "South of Jordany" in the Biblical record. The city of Ubar has been found there. It had been lost for so long that it became a legend, called Irem of the Pillars after the towers surrounding the fortress. Also known as Atlantis of the Sands because of some resemblance to the Atlantis myth.

There doesn't seem to be much evidence to link this city to the Hyksos.
