You made an interesting comment: "That is why there is a power within that organisation which is difficult to put a finger on."
Why do you have trouble putting your finger on the source of the power of that organisation that is the Church of Rome? Revelation identifies the source of her power as coming from the Serpent.
The reason why the Church is so powerful is because it has access to power derived direct from the Serpent. Unfortunately, the source of that power is waging war on humanity.
Could it be possible that the Vatican, with their power, derived from the Serpent and the Ancient Egyptian and Babylonian religions, would consider those who think they are following the Greater Mysteries of the Eleusinian Mystery Schools as actually being in the Lesser School? In other words, is it possible those who think they are following the Greater Mystery School teachings are actually in the outer portico of the Temple? If anyone wants to know what Paganism is really about, perhaps they need to understand the source of the power of those in the inner Temple? Could nature loving, creation worshipping, grove congregating Paganism be merely a pale reflection of what Paganism actually is? The Druids also originally gathered in nature and in the open air of groves and in the open air, but they also revered the Serpent.
The Vatican has vast collections of historic occult knowledge from around the world in its libraries. Could it be that their knowledge of the occult and the Ancient Mystery Religion far exceeds those that have studied the subject only from a private perspective, who don't have the textual resources the Vatican has?
The Vatican raises a lot of interesting questions.
