If Khufu only completed the monument, why is his name written on the very bottom?
One of the marks in the reliving chambers reads "In year 17 of Khufu". This indicates that the pyramid had already been built to this level by this time. This is a rather percise piece of dating, wouldn't you agree? This also serves as evidence that the accepted time it took to build the pyramid is correct. It is estimated that it took him 25 years or so, probably not even this long.
It's fun to attach fanciful ideas to the pyramid, especially when you know little about it and the ancient Egyptian people, but, once again, it is not realistic.
