"There is no place or time where it is appropriate for anyone sworn to secrecy and loyalty to anyone or anything for those people to be given power and authority over any not associated with their group."
That is true if you assume a secret group or organization has taken power. However, because of our representative democratic system, we give power to those people we choose fit to lead. There is an argument to be raised however, if say, a Mason was elected president in 2008, and gave all the high cabinet positions strictly to other Masons. This wouldn't happen of course, because obviously the media and conspiracy theorists would have a field day, and rightly so. It is the duty of the people to be knowledgeable about those they elect to office, and get rid of those people if their actions do not represent the interests of the people. And since most of what the government does is a matter of public record, it isn't terribly hard to stay informed. (This is of course not counting top-secret material.) Is the CIA controlled by the evil masons? Man i hope not.. if so we're screwed!
This probably deserves to be taken to the political sub-board, but i figured i'd put in another post.
