Even by my measure, this is extreme, though I dare anyone to show me why it isn't possible :). The top funiculars stones are slid off, ropes un-attached and others reattached. Funicular pushed sideways onto the other track, ready to be filled with water. A continual cycle. Is that possible? Remember it is a "Counterbalance System", and the causeway angle is such that the weight(s) can come to rest, and start over again, without losing control.
That would deliver more than one stone every minute. I never did like the 10 hour day, every day schedule proposed by others. Slave labor nonsense. Better to have a strong mind, than a strong back. Why work hard in the hot sun, if there is a better way?
This would require attaching and un-attaching the Barge/Funiculars to pull each unit forward. I will try and illustrate that later.
