SC: No one is suggesting this is your personal responsibility. It is the responsibility of Egyptology. I, for one, will be doing my bit in my next book to encourage them to pursue such scientific tests.
MS: The reality of the case is that they won’t. Why would they? To satisfy a few diehard conspiracy theorists? Who, being conspiracy theorists, wouldn’t be satisfied anyway.
SC: Failing to at least attempt to find a scientific means to settle this issue will only allow it to fester. And I don't think that is really in anyone's interest, do you?
