Well, it depends on what you mean by "evidence". If you mean direct evidence, I think there are numerous good explanations for this, the primary one being the extreme age of this civilization (10,000 BC) and the fact that everything that isn't solid gold or solid stone rusts and corrodes. If you mean indirect evidence, well then, you are wrong, as there happens to be a decent amount of it, specifically the stones which show evidence of advanced engineering and machining, not to mention the fact that the Egyptians themselves believed that their advanced monuments were built by an advanced civilization.
But regardless, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. For example, how many things did you do today that didn't leave a fossil trail in the archaeological record? So then, why do you presume that the archeological record can provide us with an accurate snap-shot of the past?
But there isn't a total lack of evidence. For example, Leslie Kean's book on UFO's is strictly composed of UFO accounts by aviation/military experts and credible civilian accounts by well-respected members of society. Not only that Jacques Vallee (and others) have shown that similar UFO sightings go back thousands and thousands of years in recorded history. Thus, right there is a substantial amount of indirect evidence that you are either unaware of or simply ignoring. As for direct evidence, like a spacecraft or an alien body, I have to wonder if you've thought this through very far. For starters, do humans sent off groups of diplomats to establish strategic military alliances with populations of chimpanzees in the African jungles, much less leave behind automobiles and human corpses? Even further, if there actually were some extenuating circumstances in which alien spacecraft and/or alien corpses were retrieved by humans, don't you think that information would be covered up since any advanced technology can also be used for the manufacture of advanced weapons? And finally, the simple fact is that there isn't a multitude of good reasons against the existence of aliens, hence, why I'm open-minded about the subject...

If you believe ancient peoples were tecnologically advanced, why do you think that there is no evidence for the tools and equipment?

It's the total lack of evidence and reasons aliens for , and the multitude of reasons against, that convince me!
