How about this for substantiation; this is what the builders said. The builders said the Gods built the pyramids. The builders said "the earth is made high under the sky by means of thine arms Tefnut". The Goddess of Downward built the pyramid, not the god of ramps. It was each God who made not a stairway for the king who would have no cake. They clearly and repeatedly said that Osiris was the cool, effervescent, inundation that tosses and off gassed CO2.
It was the builders who said "men and Gods your arms under me as you raise me and lift me to heaven". If was the builders who said "Men bury themselves, the Gods fly up".
People have merely chosen not to take these words literally. It wasn't the authors' error, it was ours.
Not only are the builders words in the Pyramid Texts consistent With the idea that they used water filled counterweights to build but they are consistent with the physical evidence and the cultural context and record.
Man fears the pyramid, time fears man.
