JB: You seem to be trying to find things to disagree about when we're actually making similar points unles you agree with Don's grid?
SC; I had always thought (perhaps wrongly) that you disagreed with any conjecture that proposed the Gizamids in their entirety as having arisen from a pre-defined plan? That a grid of some description has been used at Giza (as evidenced by the 10 points along the Lehner Line) would support the pre-defined plan hypothesis i.e. that the three main structures as well as the Queens and the Sphinx were planned from the outset before a single block was set in place.
As I said earlier - Don might not have nailed the precise grid the ancients used but he is right in saying a grid was indeed used.
