Even though I think this is not really in the remit of the thread, as you brought it up here, and yes Scott did use many quotes that are about the same event - the inundation, which was overcome because information was handed down to Noah (and others with a similar story) from a divine source. And indeed many of us have equated this term with something different than just literal flood of water, as instead being an event set down from heaven as a natural event recorded in texts world-wide but also with a another deeper meaning of creation as well. In each there is a mention of a measure of divine proportions that would overcome the inundation, and so we can related the story to both historical and to a story of creation, as the great universal ocean also inundates.
This broadens the scope of what we were told this meant in Biblical terms, we just sat in school and pictured all the animals marching into the this vessel of the Ark, which was said to be of divine proportions, in pairs. With Mr and Mrs Noah and 3 sons and 3 wives all sailing over the waters until the great pyramidal mountain rose up out the deep dark waters. We can now comprehend the meaning of texts that were in the oral tradition kept alive as simple tales, as being part of the universal process of creation on many levels. So where does these leave those who wish to stick to the picture of all the little animals going into the ark two by two with Mr and Mrs Noah.
In Scott's theory of the values of Precession existing in the pyramids, and with T. McKenna's work on the Hexagrams of the Book of Changes, we get the idea of a cycle of events that are determined to occur. If we look at the movements of solar system these events occur for a reason, as the solar system moves in and out of regions of comet and large meteorite bombardment and into period of calmness. What stands before us here is a knowledge of these cycles (and others on a more personal level as the great and small cycles, light and dark cycles are entwined) as encoded for us by the ancients or our own ancestors, and that this information would be referred to 'as handed down from heaven' as indeed it is the knowledge of the law of heaven, as heaven dictates the rule through out all parts of the spectrum of energy/matter movements.
The reference you give to the law from Genesis is about the alternations that the rule of law set in place, yes days and nights, summer and winter, or the light and dark, and as these two opposites explain all as pairs of opposites that also have a value in maths there was no need to mention spring or autumn, half the year is fire and the other water - hence the image of John/Oannes/water and Christ/Fire. These are the two primal opposites of Heaven and Earth, of the Dragon and the Tiger lines of movement or divine dimensions.
