It seems to mirror the correct logical approach,which is to look for "dominant" causes and effects and establish connections.As in the game of chess,all other moves can be ignored when the King can be checked immediately.Another good example is that if our Sun went nova,the Earth WOULD be destroyed.These are immutable facts.
I observe an added factor in the thought processes of experts who cling to false beliefs,that is reactions of pain and irritation at their theories being threatened by new evidence.All thoughts negating it are therefore tainted and biased,not worthy of consideration as the MOTIVE is to keep the original.
A good example is the theory that the Pyramids were built using slaves and hand tools only,when this cannot be proved or dis-proved.Evidence supporting the use of other methods is disqualified by the assertion that more slaves were used,or that a longer time span is needed,when the sociological,military and religous aspects are not considered properly.
Realisation of this could save alot of tax payers moneyto...to be spent on the Dome!!!
