The Na Dene language gives us a big hint as to the location of Atlantis. It is spoken by the Berbers of North West Africa and by North American Indians. The dispersal point is likely to be in the middle somewhere. The Atlantic was not called that for nothing. With 2miles of ice melting on the poles after the end of the last ice age, one can expect an equal and opposite reaction away from the poles as that great burden of ice was removed. This deformation would be most apparent where the earths crust is thinnest and weakest, ie the Mid Atlantic ridge. Beach lines have been noticed by geologists drilling along the ridge, therefore it is not implausable that the mid Atlantic ridge could have been 2 miles higher during the last ice age and a series of big long islands. 26 chromozome cotton in the Canaries, America and the Pacific is another big hint that Atlantis influenced both Europe and America and even spread into the Pacific. Plato appears to include a description of North and South America as part of the kingdom of Atlantis (As big as Africa and Asia together) It would be foolish to leave America out of the equation when it would have been down wind of this Central Atlantic island capital - opposite the Gates of Hercules.
If you look at the 2,000metre contour around the Azores, the ring of mountains and central coastal plain looks awfully like the island of Atlantis, described by Plato. I would be surprised not to find it there. Ancient cities found underwater in India are not Atlantis as they are not in the Atlantic nor opposite the gates of Hercules. I also doubt that the Caribbean could be desrcibed as opposite the Gates of Hercules, but the Azores could. Other civilizations may have existed at the same time as Atlantis, including the Ancient civilization off Yonaguni and may have been maritime trading partners with the people of Atlantis.
