Thoth originated in the Pyramid Texts .. so I waited until I was sure Avery wasn't going to discuss this fact .. and when it was clear that he wasn't .. I posted proof of the South American connection and that Thoth was a cynocephalus monkey NOT a baboon

Besides Avery has accepted my Thoth introduction with his own discussion of Thoth's nine fingers. Which by the way originates in South America.

I'm just discussing a legit part of the series. Here are Avery's very words

:: KNOWING THOTH ::Dear List,
Good day and welcome to Part IV of my ‘64th Controversy' series. Today, I would like to expand a little more on the nature, iconography, and known history behind the ancient Egyptian god Thoth. It is important for us to recognize as much about this grand deity as we can in order to fully appreciate the content of future installments of this series. The format will come in the form of questions to which I will provide a brief expose in response. I invite everyone to add there own insights, or whatever else they can dig up in particular relation to Thoth on the internet, their local library or wherever. I'd like to see this ‘episode' become a repository of data on Thoth so we won't all have to run amok each time I mention him. It'll also be a wonderful opportunity to finally get to see the complete picture of this powerful and omniscient god in one place. Nothing can be more fun then learning things – especially fascinating ones.

P.S. You'll have to take it up with the ancient Egyptians .. as to why the Pyramid Texts relate directly to the South American Thoth .. I had nothing to do with it!
