Yeah, long time no see!
Robert Schoch actually mentions the Rongo-Rongo script of Easter Island in the same paragraph!
As for the origins of civilization? I dunno - I guess if I were Frawley or Kak I would have touted India as the site of Atlantis. But I didn't see the evidence fitting the 'Old Country' quite as much as it did Ice Age Sundaland.
Anyway, note that at least four widely dispersed points around the world have legends of 'Seven Sages' visiting them in antiquity to impart the knowledge of farming, science, religion and stuff:
India (Manu and co.)
Mesopotamia (Seven Sages from Apsu)
Egypt (Seven Uraea/Serpents from the East)
Easter Islands (Seven Sages (again!))
And above you mentioned Easter (as well as India and the Mid-East/Mediterranean)!!!!
And Manu appears in Egyptian legend (the domain of Manu across the water), and in Polynesia (the name of a sooty tern, gull-like bird, as well as that of a bird symbolising their canoes and representing four of their 'star compass' points)!!!!
And which part of the world lies kind of equidistant from the Mid-East to the west, through India, over to Easter in the east?
