Hello JA

the discussion has not side tracked the purpose of the thread, discussing your article. I believe that there is a unit of measure that is now set in stone that impacts on your article because it is so relevant.

I have called it the BWD cubit and it is the Royal cubit in metres. BWD stands for Berriman, Wakefield and Dail

When I bought my copy of Berriman and it arrived within 5 minutes I had noted that his Royal cubit was 20.625 ( Wakefield) and his meter aligning with this cubit was 39.375 ( Dail).

The calculation of this cubit is probably one of the most important metrological discoveries because it is the first time the cubit has been linked accurately to the metric system in a way that cannot be disputed, it must be correct.

The calculation is 20.625 Wakefield / 39.375 Dail being 0.523809524 of one metre.

This is 22/7 divided by 6 or 22/42 and it is base 11/7.

When it is multiplied by the 5 and one half sekhed as 14/11 the result is 0.666r or 2/3.

This unit produces the following relationships based on the number 28

28 BWD = 14.666r The Kenworthy Eclipse Unit.
27 BWD = 14.14285714 Berriman's root 2 as 99/70 x 10

here is the table the third column is x 7 and it is the Eclipse system.

BWD Metres Eclipse units
1 0.523810 3.666667 Ten barleycorns
2 1.047619 7.333333
3 1.571429 11.000000 The system is base 11
4 2.095238 14.666667 The DK eclipse unit
5 2.619048 18.333333
6 3.142857 22.000000 Pi represented by the number 6
7 3.666667 25.666667 Ten barleycorns represented by the number 7.
8 4.190476 29.333333 this is the Eclipse month x 12 = 352 x 12.5 = 366.666r the GP base
9 4.714286 33.000000
10 5.238095 36.666667
11 5.761905 40.333333
12 6.285714 44.000000
13 6.809524 47.666667
14 7.333333 51.333333
15 7.857143 55.000000
16 8.380952 58.666667
17 8.904762 62.333333
18 9.428571 66.000000
19 9.952381 69.666667
20 10.476190 73.333333
21 11.000000 77.000000
22 11.523810 80.666667
23 12.047619 84.333333
24 12.571429 88.000000 a 4 x pi unit where pi = 22/7
25 13.095238 91.666667 One side of the GP base 250 barlecorns
26 13.619048 95.333333 260 barleycorns of 0.3666r
27 14.142857 99.000000 10 root 2 Berriman as 99/70 x 10
28 14.666667 102.666667 the Eclipse unit DK

What is remarkable is that these units along with 11.664 appear in the exploded analysis of Plimpton 322 produced on Academia.

The GP height when 1777.77r cubits are used in the perimeter is 28 x 100/99 = 28.282828r and this is 20 root 2 when root 2 is 140/99 (Berriman)

This effectively means that the metrological error that occurs every time the modern metre is used in calculations is cancelled out because of the extra 0.005 of an inch used in the calculation.

The ancient metre per Berriman and Dail is the correct unit.

The Royal cubit has to be 20.625 Wakefield

the earth circumference is 40000000 x 39.375 inches

This metre x 176/175 = 39.6 x 40000000 = 25000 miles This is the base 100 top of scale calculation.

It is something to think about

The system works with the Egyptian foot

116.666r x 22/7 = 366.666r
