It was this passage you quoted that got my recollection going on other matters related to the Nippur cubit bar some of us studied long ago being .5184m. That one does seem very far removed from other relevant Egyptian cubits after all. See this post for additional details:
I'm still trying to digest this interesting analysis, but until then, here's one of my own to add to it. Can't say I've studied that Nippur Cubit much before now, but I've just noticed that it is in precise proportion to the 525mm. Royal Cubit noted by LC Stechinni, divided by .5184 Mtr. = the Metric Ft. ratio of 1.012731481etc. Ft. x the Geo seconds value 129600000 = 131250000 Ft. or the ancient Metric Polar Meridian value I've been seeing all these years. How much more confirmation do we need here?
And since Jacob isn't present yet, to do the honor of applying that old Eye of Horace fractional or Septimal Comma ratio 64/63 to the Nippur Cubit conversion, ala the duodecimal AE cubit of 20.736 Ins., looks like I'll have to fill in that blank also, if it wasn't known to you already that is. Thanks for bringing this up!>
I may have to start an entire new topic to address other related matters pertaining to it I've started working on recently. Btw, I keep loosing your web page that shows those interesting Vesica derivative diagrams because they have some interest to this topic as well. Hmm, did I spell LC Stechinni's name right LOL!
