However, there is this short comment about the marks Perring found in Neferirkare's pyramid at Abusir:
Five hieratic inscriptions were recorded inside the pyramid of Neferirkare by John S. Perring. These contained dates, titles and names of officials, and the name of queen Khentkaus... Perring's sketches are only rough and the forms of the signs are not precise enough to be used for a palaeographic study. Therefore, we did not use Perring's copies in our plates. - Dobrev et al, Old Hieratic Palaeography I, p.XV
Dobrev et al's rendering of the sideways 'n' sign in this pyramid has it inverted (horizontally) to Perring's rendering.
