Thanks for that. The colour can be a bit hard to distinguish on the paws but it appears that those restorations were pre 1800’s?

In this image of the Sphinx partially unearthed (circa 1867-1899), you can clearly see that there are still 5 toes on each paw, due to the toe on the inside of the paw (like a Lion).
