Yes it might be a little lower now , but then are we seeing its intended top base, it may have been even higher with at
least another layer or two, and then the top layer could have been granite .
The platform does look horizontal with the background bedrock.

I have previously suggested that a way of moving blocks over a surface with the least resistance in their day would be to slide them over granite blocks with raised edges.
And those very blocks can be found in the walls of Menkhaure's Mortuary Temple, and as we all know they were not made just for wall clading .
So who knows , maybe these blocks were that platforms top section,
