Any discerning reader or visitor to the site could ascertain that the southern end of the causeway has been restored just as its neighbor the Sphinx has and consider its dimensions with regard to its supposed use as a Processional Way rather than getting so hung up on the fact the Egyptian authorities know no more about its original appearance than you do.
